Giveaway Manager is a server-rendered Django 5 application backed by PostgreSQL 16 and packaged with Docker Compose, using hand-written CSS and JavaScript with no Node build step. Creators import YouTube comments, apply eligibility rules and bonus tickets, screen out bots with a scored Bot Shield, then draw winners using an HMAC-SHA256 commit-and-reveal scheme that any viewer can re-verify in their browser, with claim links, an OBS stream overlay, CSV export and an audit log. Students learn Django models and migrations, multi-container Docker deployment with health checks and an entrypoint script, cryptographic commitment schemes, heuristic spam scoring and how to test a Django app with 22 included tests.
